    This place is ace!

Simple concept. Pick your ingredients and wait a minute while they get cooked for you.

Cracking location for lunch, post work or during/after a night out in time. It is small and usually busy. Wooden tables and benches where you pile on to eat after having watched the flames lick the bottom of a wok where your food is cooked.

Brisk and efficient, hot and tasty, good value.

Came here for a quick dinner and if you've read any of my other reviews, you'll know that I'm extremely sceptical about Westernised Chinese food. Wok to Walk isn't amazing, but it definitely exceeded my standards and for the price it is and the quickness, definitely makes it for an easy meal during a lunch break. I'd definitely come back. I would say Wok to Walk is overall 3.5 stars, but just not good enough to round to 4!

    ~ Atmosphere:

Even though this place is primarily for takeaway, they do have a few seats available and they certainly keep it clean.

    ~ Customer Service:

The customer service here is based on speed and efficiency, nothing friendly so it's not out of this world. You order and pay at the till then go up to collect your food! My meal probably took around 5 minutes to prepare.

    ~ Food:

Wok to Walk's menu is mainly centred around customisation. You order a base of rice or different types of noodles, toppings (meats and veggies), sauce, and extras such as fried onion or garlic. I opted for udon noodles with beef only in saigon sauce with fried garlic on top. Definitely tasted a lot better than I thought it would. The flavours were definitely there and for the price I paid (which was not much considering I only added 1 main topping!) I would say it was worth it. My only criticism was that the noodles were completely broken which made it easier to eat with fork rather than chopsticks! (And I choose chopsticks 9 times out of 10!) Definitely disappointing because one of the biggest joys of eating noodles is slurping up long pieces!

    ---

Overall, there's definitely nothing wrong with Wok to Walk. It's nothing out of this world, but it's cheap, quick, and tasty. I would definitely recommend giving it a try if you're looking for a quick bite!

First things first, let me start by admitting that I am a Wokaholic.

Yes. I typed that while looking at my Tupperware box of last nights noodles that I'm going to have for lunch, but hey - we're all friends here.

It's one of the few, filling, healthy(ish) lunch options that is available in the city centre that doesn't keep you waiting for 45 minutes, leaving you with just 15 minutes to break your chop sticks and start eating.

Upon arrival, follow the three simple steps:
    Order Your Base.
    Your Favourites.
    ...and your sauce.

Not forgetting to have cash with you as they DON'T accept cards!

My order is always the same:
Whole Wheat Noodles, Fresh Vegetables, Tofu, Pak Choi and Hot Asia Sauce.

You can then watch the 'Wokists' cook your meal in front of you.

They even have a nutrition calculator online that you can use to check the ingredients that best suit what 'My Fitness Pal' will allow you to eat for the day.

    *pause to eat leftovers*

Note: Hot Asia sauce is very HOT.

I love Wok to Walk and the variety of options they have there! There are many options you can get, down to noodle type, rice, meats and vegetables. Everything is customizable and each additional add on has its own price value. I've been to the Wok to Walk in Amsterdam and London and the service has always been really quick- exactly what I'm looking for when I'm in a rush and want to get some Chinese style noodles.

PS. This location does not accept the check in deal.

Fast, tasty, highly customisable pan-Asian food. Depending on your mix of rice or noodles, protein, sauces, extras and more you can go Thai, Chinese, Japanese, Korean cuisines and more served up quickly whether it's a stay in or take away. As you can probably tell I'm a bit of a fan.

The only down sides I would give is the lack of card payment availability and it can work out quite expensive.
